This time I though it would be appropriate to use two screens to enhance the word 'beat' in another colour. I thought this would also be a good learning experience with layers. Once I printed the first screen I let this dry and then lined up the next screen so it was in the correct place. In terms of colour I wanted to keep this design quite simple and let the 'beat' really stand out.

The same process as before was applied. I find it easier to base the digital image on hand rendered type as it creates a more personalised design.

Once the screen was exposed, I printed using just black ink to see how clear the type would work. The prints in the solid colour worked well so I then experimented with gradients of five or six colours. This created a very colourful and vibrant aesthetic. The mixture of colours also reflects the joyful tone of the phrase.

I really enjoy screen printing however it is not an area that I particularly good at. To improve I have decided to do a few screen prints after quotes that I like and inspire me. I have included this as PPP because it is more of a hobby than a purpose filled brief. I used to do quite a lot of illustration and hand rendered typography. After Kate Moross's talk, I felt inspired to get back into it. 




Once the image was scanned in, on Illustrator I used the pen tool to go over the typography creating the final vector. 

Personal Branding//Business cards

Here are some of the business card layouts. I think it is important the they are simple just like the rest of my branding.

The logo is is bold therefore I think it speaks for itself and is capable of standing alone.

Here are few different layouts for the back containing the appropriate information. The first and last layouts are my favourite, but I will decide by asking other people which one they prefer.
