Kate Moross//Profile

After seeing Kate Moross's talk at Design Manchester, I decided to find out a little more about her.

Kate's work is very colourful and energetic which I really like. Even though it isn't similar to my practice, I can still relate to it.

I think its good how Kate works with commercial brands and really tries to bring her style into more corporate projects. This special edition oyster card holder shows how she instantly uplifts a brand or product.

In the talk Kate said 'jack of all trades but master of none.' Kate is a developed designer in lots of different fields, she tries her hand at everything she can. She shot some of the Jessie Ware and Sam Smith music videos as well as their artwork. This kind of attitude of approaching work is inspiring and makes me want to push my practice. Sometimes I feel that I have to put myself into an specific area of design, but I think it is good to like a range of medias and disciplines.

Design Manchester

Going to design Manchester was very beneficial in seeing how successful designers got to where they are and how other designers are breaking into the industry. Her are the guest speakers. I found Kate Moross the most inspirational as her attitude was so positive.
